Making a Scene: Capturing the Up-Risings of Punk

Gervaise Soeurouge, who died in 2023, was a Louisiana native that spent the years 1975 to 1985 between London and NYC, photographing early punk acts like Crass, the Sex Pistols, Bauhaus, and others.

This posthumous exhibition may be the first contemporary showing of her work, and is being curated by New Orleans artist, writer, and radio host Veronica Cross with support from Soeurouge’s estate.
