Our dear friend Cedric Dent, Jr, a Spring 2022 exhibiting artist at YWC and the maker of the Fierce Girl image in our front lot been announced as one of the 2023 recipients of an award from the Take Notice Fund.

The fund, managed by the National Performance Network, honors artists of color in Louisiana and “envisions a world in which artists of color living and working in the South have the power, resources, and opportunities to thrive.”  Cedric’s work is available for viewing and purchase at cedricdent-jr.com.

Our October 2023 Patreon art raffle winner is Mary Clinkenbeard.

September artists Cristina Molina and Jonathan Traviesa kindly donated a set of postcards from their Sad Tropics series to our Patreon raffle. Each month, one subscriber is randomly chosen as a winner. All Patreon supporters at any level – as low as $1 / month – are entered into the drawing.
